Marvin Seeley, 72 of Lakeview passed away peacefully Thursday, July 10, 2025 with his wife, family and friends beside him after a brave and courageous long battle with cancer.

Marvin was born October 26, 1952 in Columbus to Lloyd Melvin and Eileen Ella (Spencer) Seeley. On July 16, 1977 in Bellefontaine he married the love of his life Debra Jo Renick, who survives. He is also survived by his father, Lloyd Melvin Seeley; big brother, Melvin (Nancy) Seeley; beloved nephew who was like a son, Gary (Lisa) Seeley; niece, Ellen (Randy) Powell; beloved brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Jerilyn Budd; best friends, Steve and Becky Zorn, Charlie and Rhonda Shively, Gary and Jonna Frankart; very special great niece, Amanda ( Beau) Daft that helped him and his family in his final days; many more beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces that he enjoyed spending time with and the adventures they shared; two godsons that meant the world to him, Evan (Jess) Zorn and their son Paxton Marvin, Ethan (Cassie) Zorn and their son Alden Stephen and another one on the way.

Marvin graduated from Waynesfield Goshen, class of 1970. He was a farmer all of his life, farming with his folks and his brother. Marvin enjoyed hunting for Indian Artifacts, spending time with his wife Debi, riding his Harley, traveling and watching OSU football games. Marvin loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Ella (Spencer) Seeley; two baby brothers, Michael and Larry.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Hwy 68 S., West Liberty, OH 43357. Burial will take place in Huntsville Cemetery following the visitation. Pallbearers for Marvin’s services include Gary Seeley, Evan Zorn, Ethan Zorn, Justin Powell, Preston Budd, Derek Budd, Beau Daft and Randy Powell. Honorary pallbearers include Melvin Seeley, Steve Zorn, Charlie Shively, Gary Frankart, Gary Budd, Joshua Budd and Dan Glassford. The family is requesting casual dress or wear your Buckeye gear.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Universal Home Health and Hospice or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
