The Hartman Mound

Six miles N.W. of Athens, Ohio, is a small community known as "The Plains." Each year, in the first week of October, this community holds an annual Indian Mound Festival. A major attraction for visitors to this festival is an Adena conical mound which is known to local residents as the Hartman mound.
